Numerous people use the Internet as a resource for information, especially with a large proportion seeking health information. As the interest in the health information providing service has been increased, many researchers have found factors out to explain which would affect the quality of the service. For example, credibility (trustworthiness) turns out to be one of the most important factors. So, the official authentication such as HONcode is used to display the credibility of the health information and its provider. However, there is no explanation how these factors affect the user acceptance pattern of health information providing service. In this thesis, we developed a model to build a pattern of user acceptance of health information providing service based on the technology acceptance model (TAM) - to investigate the relationship among behavioral intention of acceptance (BI), perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), trust on the service (PBQ; Perceived Brand Quality), and trust on the information (PIQ; Perceived Information Quality). Our model was tested using data collected from 201 questionnaires and analyzed using the structural equation model (SEM) and the path analysis. The results showed that PU, PEOU, and PIQ toward health information providing service affected BI significantly and positively, and that PIQ and PBQ regarding the credibility affected PU and PEOU strongly, but were not strongly affecting factors for BI. Overall, the proposed model could be used to design the health information providing service well, to design the evaluation standards.
많은 수의 사람들이 정보를 구하기 위해 인터넷을 사용하고 있으며, 특히 이러한 정보 검색 활동에서 건강정보 검색은 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 이처럼 건강정보 서비스에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 이러한 서비스의 품질에 영향을 미치는 요인들이 많이 밝혀졌다. 예를 들면, 가장 중요한 요인 중 하나로 신뢰성이 꼽히고 있다. 건강정보 제공 서비스업자들은 자신들의 신뢰성을 공식적으로 인증 받기 위해 노력하고 있으며, 이러한 공식인증은 실제로 사용자들의 서비스 사용 의도에 영향을 미치고 있다. 하지만 현재 이렇게 밝혀진 요인들이 어떻게 사용자들이 건강정보 검색 서비스를 수용하는 데에 영향을 미치는 지에 대해서는 연구된 바 없다. 그렇기 때문에 이 연구에서는 기술수용모델(technology acceptance model; TAM)을 확장하여 사용자들의 건강정보 검색 서비스 수용 패턴을 밝혀내는 데 그 초점을 맞추었다. 연구 모델에서 사용한 요인은 수용의도(behavioral intention of acceptance; BI), 지각된 유용성(perceived usefulness; PU), 지각된 용이성(perceived ease of use; PEOU), 건강정보 웹사이트에 대한 신뢰(trust on the website; Trust), 지각된 정보품질(perceived information quality; PIQ)이다. 연구 모델을 검증하고 확립하기 위해 201개의 설문 결과를 사용하였으며, 구조방정식모형(structural equation model; SEM)과 경로분석을 통하여 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과 PU, PEOU, PIQ가 BI에 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, Trust는 BI에 영향을 미치지 않는다는 것이 밝혀졌다. 또한 신뢰성과 관련이 있는 PIQ와 Trust는 PU와 PEOU에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이는 PIQ와 Trust가 BI에 직접적으로 영향을 미친다기 보다는 PU와 PEOU의 선행요인으로서 간접적으로 BI에 영향을 미친다는 것을 뜻한다. 이러한 분석 후에 두 번째 조사를 실시하여 실제 운영되고 있는 건강정보 제공 서비스 웹사이트에 대한 평가를 한 후 순위를 매겼다. 이렇게 얻은 결과를 실제 사이트 방문자수(사용자수)로부터 도출한 실제 순위와 비교하였다. 결론적으로, 제시된 모형은 건강정보 제공 서비스 웹사이트를 디자인하는 데에 있어 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것이다.
