The major research efforts in the area of MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Network) focus on developing efficient routing protocols which assume that mobile nodes are configured a priori with unique addresses before they enter a network. Pre-configuration is not always possible and has some drawbacks. Furthermore, a permanent central infrastructure component or network administrator does not exist in a MANET. A protocol for dynamic allocation and management mechanism for hosts with unique addresses is needed in a MANET. This article gives a solution what we do and how we do for dynamic auto-configuration and management of nodes with unique addresses in a MANET through introduction of address allocations, novel classification of each approach In terms of issues and each solution, evaluation of them including my proposal, prototype design and implementation and finally applying to a useful application in MANET.
지금까지의 Ad hoc network에서의 연구는 효과적으로 라우팅 패스를 찾는 것에 집중되어 왔다. 이런한 연구들은 각 노드들이 망에 참가하기 전에 미리 주소를 할당 된다는 가정을 하고 있다. 그러나 이 가정은 항상 가능하지 않으며 반드시 해결해야 할 문제이다. Ad hoc network에서는 망 특성상 DHCP서버로의 접근이 불가능하여 새로운 주소 할당 방법이 요구된다.
본 논문에서는 Ad hoc 망에서의 주소 할당 방법에 관한 문제들과 그 문제들을 풀자 위한 방법들을 분석 및 분류하였으며 기존 할당 방법보다 향상된 주소 할당 및 관리 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 또한, 제안된 알고리즘과 기존 알고리즘들을 실험을 통해 빠른 주소 할당과 망 분할 및 합병을 충분히 지원하면서 비교적 적은 프로토콜 오버헤드와 알고리즘의 안정성을 입증하였다. 또한, Ad hoc 망에선 유용한 서비스를 설계하고 기존에 제안된 알고리즘과 향상된 위치 인식 알고리즘을 도입하였고 프로토타입을 구현함으로써 주소 할당 알고리즘을 개발할 때 사용될 서비스를 미리 고려해야 함을 제시하였다.
