The future ubiquitous environment will enable users to access diverse ubiquitous services anytime, anywhere via various communication channels and terminal devices.
Emerging ubiquitous services will have highly different characteristics and require appropriate system architecture to support the services. In this thesis, we study the characteristics of ubiquitous services and discuss the requirements of service architecture for the ubiquitous services. We illustrate the ubiquitous services and their characteristics through some examples. Moreover, we discuss a case study of an integrated cardiac patient supporting system. The case study describes a service scenario for cardiac patient as an example of ubiquitous healthcare services and present a necessary system and its components. Based on the case study, we present the requirements of service architecture for emerging ubiquitous services.
미래의 유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자는 다양한 통신 채널과 단말을 통하여 원하는 때에 어느때나, 어디서나 다양한 유비쿼터스 서비스를 제공받게 될 것이다. 이러한 유비쿼터스 서비스는 기존의 서비스와는 대단히 다른 특징을 갖게 되며, 이를 제공하기 위하여 적절한 시스템 아키텍처를 필요로 한다.
본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 서비스의 특징을 고찰하고, 유비쿼터스 서비스를 제공하기 위한 서비스 아키텍처에 관하여 논한다. 유비쿼터스 서비스와 그 특징을 Context-awareness, Integrated, Agile, Interactive, Personalization의 다섯 가지로 정의하였으며 이를 몇 가지의 예시를 통하여 살펴볼 것이다. 또한, 심장병 환자를 위한 통합 건강 관리 시스템을 유비쿼터스 서비스의 케이스 스터디로써 분석한다.
케이스 스터디에서는 유비쿼터스 건강관리 서비스의 한 예시인 심장병 환자를 위한 건강관리 서비스의 시나리오를 기술하고, 필요한 시스템과 콤포넌트들에 대하여 분석한다. 이를 바탕으로 유비쿼터스 서비스와 이를 제공하기 위한 아키텍처의 필요 조건들을 Interactivity, Flexibility, Composability로 도출하였으며 각 항목에 대하여 적절한 예시와 함께 고찰한다.
