The goal of this study was to compare muscular loads, wrist posture and comfort among wearable wrist rest, general wrist rest, non-wrist rest during keyboard and mouse use.
Thirteen healthy subjects performed a text editing task in three test conditions : wearable wrist rest, general wrist rest, non-wrist rest. During the text editing task, the right wrist radial/ulnar deviation, flexion/extension were recorded by electrogoniometer and the muscle activity in upper trapezius, anterior deltoid, extensor digitorum, extensor carpi ulnaris were recorded by electromyography. After all three tests, the subjects rated perceived comfort of each condition.
Working with wearable wrist rest, compared to non-wrist rest and general wrist rest, decreased wrist radial/ulnar deviation and musle activity in upper trapezius and anterior deltoid, as well. At the same time, in work with wearable wrist rest, the subjects rated more comfort at 5 of 8 body locations(shoulder, upper arm, wrist, hand, body).
이 연구의 목적은 컴퓨터 키보드와 마우스를 가지고 사용하는 동안에 착용식 손목 지지대, 일반 손목 지지대, 손목 지지대 없는 경우 사이에 근육 부하, 손목 움직임 그리고 주관적 편안함에 대하여 비교를 하는 것이다. 13명의 신체 건강한 피실험자들이 3가지 테스트 조건하에서 텍스트 편집 태스크를 수행하였다 : 착용식 손목 지지대, 일반 손목 지지대, 손목 지지대 없는 경우. 텍스트 편집 태스크를 수행하는 동안에, 오른 손목의 요측/척측 편차, 굴곡/신장을 전자측각기를 이용하여 기록을 하였으며, 승모근, 전방 삼각근, 지신근, 척측수근신근의 근육활동은 근전도를 이용하여서 기록을 하였다. 3가지의 모든 실험을 수행한 후에, 피실험자들은 각각의 실험 조건에 대하여 주관적 편안함을 평가하였다. 착용식 손목 지지대를 가지고 작업을 수행하는 것이, 손목 지지대가 없는 경우와 일반 손목 지지대와 비교하여서 손목 움직임의 요측/척측 편차를 줄였으며 뿐만 아니라 승모근과 전방 삼각근에서의 근육활동도 감소시켰다. 동시에 착용식 손목 지지대를 가지고 작업을 수행하는 것이, 신체 8부위중 5부위에서 더욱 편안함을 느꼈다고 피실험자들은 평가를 하였다(어깨, 윗팔, 손목, 손, 몸전체).
