Consumer Satisfaction Model is represented by ‘Expectation Disconfirmation Model’. Recently, a number of concepts and moderating variables are introduced to elucidate this model more clearly. This research is based on traditional ‘Expectation Disconfirmation’ satisfaction model, but it newly introduces the concept of ‘Choice satisfaction’ and its moderating variable as ‘Knowledge`.
To verify choice satisfaction concept and moderating effect of knowledge, author uses structured equation model and compares paths and measures of fit between proposed model which involve ‘customer satisfaction’ variable and traditional model. As a result, new concept which is choice satisfaction is a meaningful construct, and knowledge moderates relationship between choice satisfaction and overall satisfaction. These results indicate that customer may be satisfied by their choice itself and its effect can be moderated by their knowledge.
