The purpose of this paper is to verify the non-linear error reduction of the QUAD method by Andricopoulos, Widdicks, Duck and Newton, expand this method for two underlying assets, and supplement the weak points by applying Don R. Rich's approach for continuous observations.
First, Implicit FDM resulted in significant error increase near the exercise price where non-linearity occurs in the maturity payoff structure. However, error from the QUAD method sustained low levels close to O.
Secondly, price valuation through the QUAD method for derivatives with two underlying assets was superior in efficiency compared to the traditional Monte Carlo simulation.
Lastly, QUAD method with Don R. Rich's approach for continuous Barrier options improved accuracy and efficiency compared to the Monte Carlo simulation.
