Entity-Relationship Model is widely used as the product of database modeling process because it allows a variety of data expression and provides ease of reading. But the development of ER Models is mostly done by expert database modelers due to the difficulty of data abstraction processes. Those processes start from data classification into entities, attributes, and relationships. Especially, it is difficult to distinguish an entity from an attribute because both of them, which are cited as objects, are in the same form of noun. For such a reason, modelers often depend on their database design experience in a similar business when they classify data into the element types of ER Model. But the results of data classification are not permanent but changeable according to each business. They can vary across business rules, even in the same business environment. Without consideration of the interrelationship among data, classification can be mistaken. Data representing the interrelationship among other data are referred as behaviors, which are expressed as predicates. In this thesis, we suggest a new scheme which takes into consideration behaviors expressed in business specifications during data classification. We developed an application program in accordance with our scheme and had a test with business specifications which describe school affairs.
