Since the introduction of knowledge management systems, many studies have attempted to analyze KMS performance and identify KMS success factors. However, few studies did investigate the relationship between KMS technology characteristics and KMS quality. This thesis attempts to categorize KMS technology characteristics into socialization, externalization, combination and internalization functions and then find the relationship between KMS technology and its quality. We hypothesize and investigate the moderating effect of task characteristics in this relationship. Our research frame is derived from the well known task-technology fit model and the related KMS performance studies. A survey was collected from 157 KMS users. We found that both the externalization and combination are important for KMS quality and the KMS quality influence on the KMS performance. Furthermore, it is confirmed that the task characteristics moderate between the KMS technology and its quality.
본 연구는 지식경영시스템의 기술특성을 사회화, 외부화, 조합화, 내부화 기능으로 분류하고 지식경영시스템 품질과의 영향 관계를 보이고자 하였다. 또한 과업특성이 기술특성과 품질과의 관계에 조절변수로 작용함을 보여주고자 하였다. 연구의 틀은 과업-기술 적합도 모형과 지식경영시스템 성과 연구를 근간으로 하였다. 157명의 지식경영시스템 개인사용자 설문을 데이터로 사용하였다. 분석결과 외부화와 조합화 기능이 지식경영시스템 품질에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 과업특성이 조절효과를 주고 있음을 확인하였다.
