Since Kaplan & Norton has proposed BSC as performance measures, an IT-BSC concept has been applied to information systems. Because it is difficult to measure direct effects of information systems on business performance by traditional evaluation methods, this IT-BSC evaluation framework consider both financial and non-financial effects and has been widely introduced to IT consulting firms. This thesis investigates the weights of IT performance measures according to industry type and IT outsourcing characteristics. Our research framework is derived from the preceding studies of IT-BSC and IT performance evaluations. A survey is collected from 75 corporate IT managers. We found that IT-BSC weights differ in industry type and outsourcing characteristics. Furthermore, it is noted that IT intensive companies emphasize future readiness measures.
