This study focuses on entertainment pet robot’s behavioral structure and reactive motion design ideas. The Main purpose of this study is to construct an entertainment Pet Robot’s behavioral structure and Reactive motion design management tool.
This tool called ‘RMS(Robot Motion System) Wizard’ is for designers and robot related researcher to help them to construct behavioral structure and construct a database of motion design ideas from this behavioral structure of entertainment pet robot.
Many people are entertained by the movement or the gesture of the animals in zoo. It is the same reason why people enjoy watching dinosaur robots controlled by computer in theme park. This tells us the importance of robot’s motion. Especially for entertainment robot which needs to entertain people. It is said that the purpose of the entertainment Pet robot is to give pleasure to the human beings and the motions that is generated from the entertainment pet robot gives some kind of pleasure to mankind.
Research on ethology was done in this study in order to extract the behavioral structure of the entertainment pet robot. Animal’s behavioral structure gave a good source for constructing entertainment pet robot’s behavioral structure framework and also good motion design idea.
