It is not easy to visualize manufacturing data or manufacturing simulation data in CAVE-like system which allows the immersive virtual reality. The traditional method for a CAVE-like system is exporting original data from CAD with virtual reality format or VRML format. This method has a limit where imperfect translation causes errors. Model shapes are not same, and kinematics is not same or sometimes impossible.
This thesis proposes a plug-in system to visualize the manufacturing data in CAVE-liks system. The proposed method expands the original model viewer into a multichannel viewer. A sub-system controls this multichannel viewer, and the global control and a user interface system are implemented. To verify the usefulness of this system, seven files of the commercial virtual manufacturing system - Delmia, VMFactory - are tested.
