To Increase of manipulability measure is a useful sub-work for a redundant manipulator, but it is very hard to calculate in off-line and on-line. In this thesis we present a new calculation method of manipulability measure for a redundant manipulator.
In the former coordinate system, a calculation time of closed form gradient vector of manipulability measure increase exponentially, furthermore it is very complicate to use on-line.
Analyzing 2D planar redundant manipulator in the new coordinate system is convenient to calculate gradient vector of manipulability measure. Also same schemes apply to 3D spatial redundant manipulator. Generally-used redundant manipulator has link offsets or fixed links, in this case same schemes also can be used with elimination matrix.

여유 자유도 매니퓰레이터의 제어에 있어서 조작 성능 지수를 증대시키는 것을 매우 유용한 작업이지만, 이를 계산하여 적용하기에는 온라인 뿐만 아니라 오프라인에서도 많은 제약이 따른다. 기존의 좌표계에서 임의의 여유 자유도 매니퓰레이터의 조작 성능 지수의 그라디언트 벡터를 닫힌 형태로 구하는데는 매우 오랜 시간이 소모되며, 따라서 온라인에서 이를 활용하기에는 매우 복잡하였다. 이 논문에서는 여유자유도 매니풀레이터의 조작 성능 지수를 계산하는 새로운 방법에 대해 제안한다. 2차원 평면 매니퓰레이터를 사용하여 변환된 좌표계에서 매니퓰레이터를 해석함으로서 조작성능지수의 그라디언트 벡터를 닫힌 형태로 쉽게 구할 수 있었으며, 이를 3차원 매니퓰레이터와 고정 링트 및 오프셋이 존재하는 매니퓰레이터에도 적용 가능함을 보였다. 새롭게 제안한 방법은 링크의 수가 많으면 많아질수록 효과적이며, 본 논문에서는 초여유 자유도 매니퓰레이터의 모사 실험도 추가하였다.
