It is known that the number of quadrisecants of a knot is not smaller than one half of the square of the minimal number of boundary singularities of all spanning discs. In this work, we investigate correspondences of quadrisecants and singular curves of spanning discs for a polygonal trefoil knot and a polygonal figure eight knot.
매듭도가 k인 매듭은 $\frac{k^2}{2}$ 이상의 사중할선을 갖는다는 사실이 1930년대에 판비츠(E. Pannwitz)에 의해서 알려졌다. 본 논문에서는 다각세잎매듭(trefoil knot)과 다각8자매듭(figure eight knot)의 경우에, 생성 디스크들의특이곡선들과 사중할선의 대응관계에 대해서 살펴보았다.
