This dissertation deals with time dependent analysis of incrementally prestressed concrete beam. Time dependent effects due to the creep and shrinkage of concrete are investigated and the structural long-term behaviour of incrementally prestressed concrete beam by those effects are analyzed.
To analyze the long-term behaviour of incrementally prestressed concrete beam, a recent concrete stress-strain relation which describes well aging effect on stress-strain relations than any other models, is adopted and unloading of concrete is considered.
And also to consider the varing material properties through the sectional depth, the layer approach in which a section is divided into imaginary layers is adopted.
Time dependent analysis of prestressed concrete beam including incrementally prestressed concrete girder is conducted. By time dependent analysis of prestressed concrete beam, stress-strain relation model for concrete is proved and the deflection of beam, the variation of stress and strain of materials and prestress loss of prestressing steel are discussed. In time dependent analysis of incrementally prestressed concrete girder, the deflection of girder, the variation of stress in slab and girder considering the construction sequence are discussed.
