The steam turbine rotor blade is designed using the Turbine Rotor Design Package developed by the authors. It can quickly accomplish blade shape design useful in the power plant industry. Here, the quasi three dimensional flow analysis code is employed for the passage flow between blade sections. Shape change of each blade section is made iteratively by moving positions of the control points in the Bezier curve under GUI(graphic user interface) environment.
The blade shape is to be determined empirically by the experienced aerodynamics engineer in the industry. The full three dimensional blade shape is obtained by stacking of these section blades. Rendering is given to the final shape of the blade designed this way
