Entering upon an age of real Home Automation, it is developed that the various Home Network System(HNS) is the basis of that. This HNS comes to complete phase in technology, but incomplete phase in usability sides now. In this paper becomes operatively the questionnaire, telephone, an account of a use research working with the samsung HNS being on business worldwide first, and grasps the needs of users on HNS and improvement, then presents the development indicator on HNS from now on.
First, the result of questionnaire shows that users want to do the remote control and confirm a state on various kinds utensil or electronic home appliances with the portable telephone or the webpad. Second, the result of telephone and an account of a use research presents the problems of unfamiliarity and indiscrimination on webpad. Third, for the solution of this problem, that paper performs the experiment of usability comparison with the microwave oven and the webpad on the function of the former and then it is discovered the function`s group that the preference and performance is high.
This results are expected to help a developer establish the function of HNS that develops hereafter.
