We developed a based system SSNV for large scale network virtual environments.
The SSNV adopted the client-server architecture with multiple servers. The world is divided into several small zones each of which is managed by one of the servers. However, the static zone allocation used in the SSNV cannot efficiently handle dynamic load change. We propose a dynamic load balancing algorithm for SSNV, which uses ladder shaped zone management method and changes the zone boundaries gradually. We also show that our method has a small overhead traffic and short load balancing time by simulation.
