Recently, as the product life cycle becomes shorter and customer needs becomes various, the product data becomes complex. Therefore, it has a great difficulty in managing the product information integrately without the information technology.
In the manufacturing enterprise, generally, the bills of materials(BOM) management system is the core part of the product information system. But, the various name and types of BOMs make it difficult to develop the integrated BOMs management system.
In this paper, we discuss how to classify numerous BOMs types and propose three categories - Structure-BOM, Display-BOM and Functions-BOM - for BOMs classification. Based on this result, we design the integrated BOMs management system with ERD(Entity-Relation Daiagram) model
