The Purpose of this paper is to implement the low cost and reliable Fire Control System using fault tolerant technology. Because there is a Fire Control System that was developed already, this Fire Control System will be reconfigured to fault tolerant system. Reliable Fire Control System is designed using Dual-Modular Temporal Redundancy technology, and this fault tolerant technology is very effective for transient fault. Hardware comparator is necessary to implement DMTR technology, so I designed and implemented comparator with minimal components for reliability of comparator.
After analysing the Fire Control System that was developed already, new DMTR Fire Control System model has been designed, tested and validated through simulation using comparator and two PCs.
I also analyze the DMTR Fire Control System reliability respect to permanent faults and independent/correlated transient faults, assuming that faults occur and disappear with exponential probability distribution.
