Recently telecommunication technologies and internet are introducing virtual university without campus and lecture-room. Virtual universities are new educational systems that learners can be served educational services any time any place through internet.
For an effective web-based education, we must fully use benefits of multimedia according to education goals and contents. In a web-based education, benefits of using multimedia are 'lectures using a multimedia', 'interaction between educator and learners', 'learner's spontaneous learning', 'enormous information storage capacities'.
The main purpose of this study is to develop a web-based educational systems using a multimedia fully. For this purpose, the following research procedures were performed. Firstly propose a designing process of web-based instructional system and secondly develope a web-based educational systems consisted of educator's designing program and learner's supporting program.
Finally to verify effectiveness and proprieties and to consider a guidelines for proper curriculums, web design course was selected and developed into a web-based course. And it was tested in a virtual learning environment.
최근들어 인터넷 기술과 위성 통신을 포함하는 정보 통신망의 급속한 발전에 힘입어 캠퍼스와 강의실이 없는 가상대학(Virtual University)이나 재택 수업 등의 멀티미디어를 이용한 새로운 형태의 교육 방법이 등장하고 있다. 가상대학이란 학습자들이 대학교라는 물리적인 공간의 제약과 면대면 수업이라는 시간적인 제약에서 벗어나 학습자가 원하는 시간에 원하는 장소에서 교육 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 인터넷상에 구현되어 있는 가상의 대학을 의미한다. 가상대학에서 교수-학습 과정의 설계는 상당한 비중을 차지하게 된다. 특히, 교수-학습 과정의 설계 단계에서부터 교수 목적, 학습 대상, 교육 내용의 특성에 따라 웹이 제공하는 멀티미디어의 특성을 최대한으로 활용할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 가상학습환경이 제공하는 다양한 다중 매체, 정보 저장, 상호작용 기능 등을 활용하여 효율적인 교수-학습을 진행할 수 있도록 지원해 줄 수 있는 방법의 개발 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 가상대학에서 멀티미디어를 활용한 효율적인 웹기반 교수·학습 방안으로, 교수자들이 설계한 교수-학습 과정을 손쉽게 웹기반 교수·학습 과정으로 구현할 수 있도록 지원하고, 이를 가상학습환경에서 실행 및 평가하는 것을 지원해 줄 수 있는 방법에 대해 연구하였다.
