As the rapid growth of domestic internet-market, the number of domestic internet-user was growing very rapidly. Rapid market growth pulled the participation of diversified Internet service provider(ISP) and diversified user's preference about ISP. And voice-telecommunication market is being changed into internet-telecommunication market by the diffusion of internet-usages. But a study on internet-access service is not vigorous and the service quality is defined by convenience.
Therefore, this study, through the theoretical analysis, defines the service quality of internet-access service and classifies ISP. And this study, through the empirical study, showed which service qualities the group to choose specified ISP considered.
First of all, through theoretical analysis, it is proposed that service quality of internet access services are service tariff, availability, the speed of access and transmit, access stability and information quality. And also it is proposed that ISP is classified by online service provider, internet only service provider, internet service provider, inforshop type internet service provider and high speed internet service provider.
Secondly, through empirical analysis of 321 internet customers, customer group to choose online service provider considered availability and access stability, customer group to choose internet only service provider considered service tariff and customer group to choose internet service provider considered speed of access and transmit and access stability more importantly when they chose internet service provider.
These results suggest 1) that ISP must prepare customer's preference of high speed access, 2) ISP must make discriminative strategy for raising customer's recognition and 3) ISP must merge and acquisition for compensating their weak point.
