This thesis presents new kinds of Amplifier that has high fidelity and high efficiency characteristics. The name of this amplifier is 'New Class A Amplifier'.
New Class A Amplifier is consisted with two independent amplifiers. One has high fidelity characteristic and the other has high efficiency characteristic. So New Class A Amplifier realizes high fidelity and high efficiency simultaneously.
A New Class A Amplifier is designed for 500W rated output power at 4Ω load. This thesis deals with the design procedure of the 500W New Class A Amplifier.
Experimental results show that the New Class A Amplifier attains the 67% efficiency at 500W output power and achieves the 0.001%~0.001% THD(Total Harmonic Distortion).
