Many educational organizations use teamware as a Computer Supported Cooperative Learning (CSCL) environment for distributed learning because of teamware's easy accessibility and group collaboration facilities. Teamware provides shared workspaces and communication facilities among team members for group collaboration with the focus on organizing of shared data. Process based approach is applied to support the collaboration of structured work within an educational process. However, the process model is rigid and predefined by system or process initiator.
In this thesis, a conceptual model to support collaborative and flexible educational process and its coordination among members in a virtual teamware environment is presented. The model is focused on representing education specific features as an educational process. Educational process is integrated with teamware for exploiting teamware's functionality and shared data in using educational process support system. An application of educational process and architecture of educational process support system based on teamware are also presented.
많은 원격교육 기관들이 teamware 기반의 원격교육 시스템을 사용하여 Internet을 이용한 원격교육을 행하고 있다. Teamware는 사용자들의 협동작업을 위하여 공유된 작업환경과 의사소통 기능을 제공한다. 그러나 teamware 기반의 원격교육 시스템들은 공유 자료의 구조화에 초점을 맞추고 있어, 사용자들이 공동으로 참여하는 학습의 절차를 지원해 주지 못해 불필요한 작업들과 의사소통이 필요로 하게 된다. 이에 학습자들이 협동하여 문제를 해결해 나아갈 수 있도록 하는 프로세스 기반 시스템들이 제시되었다. 그러나 이 시스템들의 프로세스와 프로세스 모델은 교수자나 시스템에 의해 정의되거나 경직되어있다.
본 연구에서는 그룹의 협동학습에 맞게 교육 프로세스를 조정할 수 있는 유연한 교육 프로세스와 teamware내의 공유된 자료, 기능들과 연계된 프로세스 모델을 제시하여 학습자들이 분산된 자료들 위에서 집중화 된 학습이 가능하게 하였다.
본 연구는 분산된 자료들 위에서, 협동학습을 위한 프로세스를 제시하였고 이 프로세스를 이용하여 그룹 학습자들이 상황에 맞게 프로세스를 조정할 수 있도록 유연한 프로세스 모델을 제시하였다. 또한 프로세스와 teamware의 연계를 통하여 쉽게 teamware의 기능들과 자료들을 이용할 수 있도록 하였다.
