The legacy systems have fallen into a dilemma. These legacy systems no longer support the changing business processes and have even become cumbersome to suppress the change in business processes. The object technology can improve the flexibility of these legacy systems to timely support the change in business processes. Ignoring the existing investment, time, and business value in these legacy systems, however, it is impossible to migrate into a distributed object system due to high costs, high risks, and time consumption.
This thesis presents the object wrapping for integrating the legacy systems into a distributed environment. CORBA-based object wrapping is proposed due to the fact that CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) has a robust interoperability and is a de facto standard in the distributed environment.
The object wrapping is applied to the allowance task in S credit card company as a case study.
