Core competence has emerged as a centric theme of the industry. Although core competence has been researched widely and intensively through the MBA cources, it was not likely that there were many of practical theses seen from the company's viewpoint descriptively.
Accordingly, the purpose of this thesis attempts analyzing the essence of the core competences in the Korean computer hardware industry through the benchmarks compared with the leading competetive firms, in order to better understand the competetive environment in the High-Tech business.
A wide-range search of the deterministic factors in the strategic management of the leading companies' core competences, competetive advantages and management resources compared with the Korean firm in computer business, relatively led to the development of a conceptual framework and solutions such as global marketing and global operation manufacturing, organizational infrastructure for practical adaptation within the industry.
Futhermore, the major contribution of this thesis is to issue into the emergency of the strategic innovations and changes in the Korean computer industry for adapting the 21C multimedia trends based on the digital technology.
