In the thesis work, we implement receivers which demodulates trellis-coded 14400bps all-digital high speed call modem and answer modem simultaneously using digital signal processor(DSP)s.
First, we implement the demodulator using a data-aided equalizer. Second, we also implement the demodulator using a blind equalizer and observe that it estimates channel statistics without training sequences.
Due to its full duplexity within a channel band, prior processing such as a signal separation for call modem and answer modem is required. However, we will not cover that in this thesis work. They are designed to process in parallel.
Modem algorithms are verified by computer simulation and implemented using DSPs. Throughout the test, we confirmed that our receivers work well for ITU V.32bis.
