Optimal operation of wireless channel is an important issue in CDMA system using limited radio resources.
In CDMA mobile communication, the number of allocated radio channels may be different from cell to cell by unbalanced traffic distribution. Under this circumstances, a mobile station can move from a cell using a radio channel which is not used at neighboring cells to other cells and the inter-cell hard handoff occurs. By a given technical conditiaon, the inter-cell hard handoff is too difficult to be embodied.
In this study, we propose a new radio channel operation method which can remove inter-cell hard handoff and measure efficiency by the number of intra-cell hard handoff and outage probability. The proposed operation method can remove inter-cell hard handoff and different radio channel operation methods can be suggested under special wave propagation circumstances.
