Because of complexity, time delay and nonlinearity of incineration process, the existence of uncertain variables in incineration process, the regional and seasonal difference of the component of refuse, a simulation on the process of refuse incineration is very difficult.
This paper deals with the studies concerning the analysis of incineration by using the signal flow diagrams, applies the moving average method, the definition of damper opening and the linearization of nonlinear function for representing the input and output variables of incinerator such as refuse throughput, furnace temperature, evaporation rate, combustion air temperature and so on.
From a simulation result and operation data of an actual incinerator plant, it is concluded that the method using signal flow diagram is effective and practical in modeling the incineration plant.
