This dissertation defines the problem that each economic unit like family, enterprise, and country faces and suggests the directions to solve them based on our econometric analysis. The dissertation is comprised of three papers. The first study analyzes the impact of how much time parents and their child spend together on the child’s mobile phone dependency. Its underlying mechanism includes a chain mediation of parental media use behavior and the child’s mentality such as self-esteem and need for cognition and the moderation effect of the number of children in the household. We suggest more practical guidelines to lower the child’s mobile phone dependency based on the results that describe which situations cause them. The second study analyzes the customers’ buying patterns utilizing product sales data of a multi-brand cosmetics retailer. We delve into the changes in buying patterns because of COVID-19, therefore, we suggest the way to predict the customers’ movements and prepare against them when an economic shock which can affect the consumption level occurs in the future. The last study examines the countries’ quarterly energy use with the effects of global efforts to stop global warming: carbon tax adoption and carbon net-zero legislation. The various socioeconomic characteristics of countries, whether countries operate nuclear power plants or not, and price of energy sources are all included.
본 학위논문은 각 경제주체인 가정, 기업, 국가가 마주하고 있는 주요 문제를 정의하고 이를 해소하기 위한 연구를 다양한 계량경제분석 방법으로 진행하여 각 경제주체가 나아가야 할 방향성을 제시한다. 본 학위논문은 3개의 논문으로 구성되어 있다. 첫 번째 논문은 자녀와 부모가 함께 하는 시간의 양이 자녀의 핸드폰 의존도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 본 논문이다. 이 때, 부모가 자녀와 함께 있으면서 핸드폰을 사용 한 시간의 정도, 자녀의 자존감 및 인지욕구와 같은 심리 상태, 가정 내 자녀 수를 모두 고려한다. 그리하여 어떠한 환경 조건에서 자녀의 핸드폰 의존도가 높아지는지를 확인하여 보다 실질적인 가이드라인을 제시한다. 두 번째 논문은 다양한 브랜드를 운영하는 화장품 대기업의 판매 데이터를 활용하여 고객의 구매 패턴을 분석한 논문이다. 이 때, COVID-19를 겪으면서 변화하는 구매 패턴을 파악하여 향후 소비자들의 소비 수준에 영향을 미치는 경제 위기 등이 닥쳤을 때 소비자들의 움직임을 미리 예측하고 대비할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 마지막 논문에서는 국가들의 분기별 에너지 사용 패턴을 분석한다. 이 때, 탄소세 도입과 같은 지구온난화를 막기 위한 전 세계적인 노력들이 에너지 사용에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 함께 살펴본다. 각 국가의 다양한 사회경제적인 요소, 원자력발전소의 운영 여부, 각 에너지원의 가격 등을 모두 함께 고려한다.
