The memristor is emerging as one of the ideal next-generation computing devices due to its low energy consumption and fast switching speed. The memristor exhibits stochastic switching characteristics regardless of the material used. This characteristic must be controlled for the development of computational devices and effectively utilized for the development of encryption devices. In this dissertation, I aims to explore the stochastic switching of memristors, discuss their characteristics based on numerical calculated simulations, and cover topics such as controlling the stochastic switching behavior and converting analog stochastic switching signals into digital signals.
