This study explores Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in cybersecurity, analyzing types, mechanisms, and conditions of human-AI synergy. Prior research has shown that cybersecurity challenges stem from cognitive limitations due to information overload and consequent limited rationality, impacting human decision-making. This emphasizes the need for research into human-AI synergy to address these limitations. A literature review confirms that human-AI synergy can effectively manage decision-making difficulties, such as uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. Additionally, case studies reveal a synergy form in cybersecurity focusing on the complementarity between humans and AI. This study suggests that AI can augment human cognitive limitations, enabling more effective decision-making in cybersecurity.
본 연구는 사이버보안 분야에서 인공지능(AI)의 적용 가능성을 탐구하고 인간-인공지능 시너지의 종류, 매커니즘, 조건을 분석하였다. 선행 연구를 통해 사이버보안 분야에서 직면한 문제가 정보 과부하에 따른 인지적 한계에서 기인하며 제한된 합리성으로 인해 인간의 의사결정 능력이 제한되는 점을 확인하였으며 이를 극복하기 위해 인공지능과의 시너지 연구가 필요하다는 점을 강조하였다. 문헌검토를 통해 인간-인공지능 시너지가 의사결정에서의 어려움인 불확실성, 복잡성, 모호성을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 사례연구를 통해 사이버보안 분야에서 인간과 인공지능 간의 상호보완성을 중심으로 하는 시너지를 발견하였다. 이 연구는 인공지능이 사이버보안 분야에서 인간의 인지적 한계를 보완하고, 더 효과적인 의사결정을 가능하게 하는 인간-인공지능 시너지의 가능성을 제시한다.
