Statistical model validation is a method that measures the degree of agreement between the responses of a computational interpretive model and test outcomes by employing statistical approaches. Particularly, for models with multiple responses, validation should consider not only the distribution of each response but also the correlations among responses. Various methods for models with multiple responses have been extensively researched recently. However, existing methodologies have weakness in accurate validation of the geometric properties of correlations. The study proposes a method using conditional distributions to provide accurate validation results for correlations. The methodology is introduced for responses following parametric distributions, and it is then expanded to responses with nonparametric distributions. Through numerical and engineering examples, the proposed method shows accurate results with less data than existing methodologies.
