In this study, various numerical methods are investigated for the analysis of missile-target end game. A constant velocity target is assumed so that the end game is formulated as an optimal control problem. A two-point boundary-value problem (TPBVP) solver using iterative indirect procedures such as the multiple shooting method are investigated. Direct methods for optimal solutions are also studied. Specifically, various discretization techniques for direct optimization are investigated.
