Dynamic finite element method is implemented to analyze the stability against overturning of the telescopic crane. The resulting finite analysis shows that the equation for the rated loads by the stability-based ratings is confirmed to be widely applicable to all cranes. Morever, we compute the static tipping load and the dynamic tipping load under the dynamic loading condition that the dynamic loads in time loading curve are added after the static loads, which are given as the weights of the crane and the rated load. The dynamic effects by means of dynamic coefficient may be considered under the static loading condition without dynamic analysis.
