As elimination of acid gas is difficult to be controled in the process of burning in an incinerator, it depends upon cleaning through another treating equipment(SDA). A lab-sized SDA is made and tested so as to estimate efficiency of the full-scale SDA and operating factors. Hydrogen chloride is used as acid gas and lime slurry as an absorbent. Because the quantity and the consistency of a injected absorbent have a primary influence on elimination of acid gas of SDA, changing result by those of an injected absorbent becomes the main point of observation. Through experiments, removal factor of acid gas is examined. And a mathematical model, which can be applied to the real-size SDA, is derived from the experimental result of a lab-sized equipment. The result of experiment is as follow : the elimination efficiency of acid gas is controled at the rate of an exponential function by an equivalence ratio decided by the quantity and the consisstency of an injected absorbent, and the quantity of injection shows a linear peculiarity even though there is second effects in the quantity of injection.
