Internet has grown up huge network by internetworking, since it came out in early 1970's.
As the Internet has become massive and complex, the early routing protocol, RIP has revealed a lot of problems. Moreover, Using the finite IP address resource more efficiently, there's encouragement to use another routing protocol. i.e., OSPF. The very essence of OSPF lies in the partitioning of the AS(Autonomous System) into many areas. For the benefit of result from dividing process, we can allocate IP address more efficiently and Routing is more effectively performed.
In this study we define a transformed network, and a model which minimizing the size of routing Database is suggested, with which we extract base backbone and partition other network into areas. Then we implement various type of AS's which are different in topology. The results shows AS which physically present network, it is desirable to partition areas with our model.
