The purpose of this study is to study developments in the domestic start-up ecosystem according to changes in start-up policies. It aims to provide academic views on implications surrounding the need for easing in regulatory environments for revitalization of the domestic start-up ecosystem. In particular, the concept of the EE (External Enablement) framework was applied to confirm the government's policy changes. In this study, I collected ‘start-up’ related news data using web crawling technique and conducted word frequency and topic modeling analysis to analyze the collected news data. As a result of the study, it was possible to identify issues for each period and observe changes in the government’s regulatory policy.
This study is meaningful in that it identifies major topics related to start-up ecosystem in Korea by applying text mining technique. Based on this study, it is expected that a more detailed analysis of the Korean start-up ecosystem will be conducted using additional data such as social listening data.
본 연구는 창업 정책의 변동에 따른 국내 스타트업 생태계의 변화를 연구하는 것을 목적으로 하며, 규제 제도 완화 및 창업 활성화를 위한 학술적 논의에 기여하고자 한다. 특히 EE 프레임워크 개념을 적용하여 정부의 정책 변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 창업과 관련한 정책 변화를 측정하기 위해 ‘창업’과 ‘스타트업’ 키워드를 중심으로 최근 10년(2013년~2022년) 간의 뉴스 빅데이터를 웹크롤링하여 수집한 후 텍스트마이닝 기법인 단어빈도분석, 토픽모델링 분석을 시행하였다. 연구 결과 각 시기별 두드러지는 토픽 발굴을 통해 정부 정책의 변화 과정을 살펴볼 수 있었다.
본 연구는 창업 생태계의 변동 과정을 텍스트 마이닝이라는 분석 기술을 적용하여 한국적 맥락에서 주요한 토픽들을 포착하였고, 이를 이론적으로 발전시켰다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 본 연구를 기반으로 뉴스 기사 외의 소셜 리스닝 등의 데이터를 추가 분석함으로써 창업 생태계에 대한 더욱 세밀한 분석이 이루어지길 기대한다.
