As the venture capital market has high uncertainty and risk, investors syndicate the investment to manage the risk and improve the performance. Over the past 20 years, clean technology has been recognized for its importance in responding to environmental pollution and climate change, and venture capital investment in this sector has increased. Through syndication, investors will exchange various information, and investors in a central position within the co-investment network will have an advantage in access to information. This study analyzes the impact of structural positioning on these networks on the patterns of clean technology investment and the evolution of clean technology networks.
벤처 캐피탈 투자는 높은 불확실성과 위험을 지니고 있어, 위험 관리의 수단으로 투자자들은 여러 투자자들과 함께 공동투자(syndication)를 하기도 한다. 지난 20여년 간 청정기술은 환경오염, 기후변화의 대응을 위해 중요성을 인정받으며, 벤처 캐피털 투자가 늘어났지만, 상업화, 정책 지속성 등 여러 불확실성이 잠재되어 있어 공동투자도 활발하다. 공동 투자를 통해 투자자들은 여러 정보를 교환하고, 공동 투자 네트워크 내에 중심적인 위치에 있는 투자자들은 정보의 접근성에 우위에 있을 것이다 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 네트워크 상 구조적 위치가 청정기술 투자 양상과 청정기술 네트워크의 진화에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.
