Microcavity-based optical frequency combs have emerged as an optical signal source that can be used in various high-precision fields due to their small system size, availability as an integrated platform, high repetition rate, and low noise characteristics. It is also very important to measure and analyze the timing jitter performance of optical frequency combs for their application in high precision fields. In this thesis, solitons generated through a silica-based microcavity are mode-locked using a power-kicking scheme, and the noise of the optical signal source is measured and analyzed through an optical fiber delay line-based timing jitter measurement technique.
