This study examines the correlation between internal evaluations by employees and actual company value using aggregated data from a large-scale online company review site and anonymous community for professionals called Blind. The number of reviews per employee, changes in operating profit, and average length of employment showed generally significant correlations with each factor. Particularly, the most influential factor in company evaluations was found to be the act of evaluation itself. The number of reviews per employee had a significant negative relationship across all factors. This suggests that bias is inherent in the act of evaluation, and individuals with a tendency to respond with negative opinions were relatively more likely to participate in the evaluations for each company.
본 연구는 국내외 최대 규모의 온라인 기업 리뷰 사이트이자 직장인 익명 커뮤니티인 블라인드(Blind)에 취합된 불특정 다수의 기업 평가 자료를 활용하여 직원들의 내부 평가와 실제 기업 가치 간 상관관계를 살펴본다. 종업원 수 대비 리뷰 개수, 영업이익 증감률, 평균근속연수가 각 항목에 대체로 유의미한 상관성을 띠는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 기업평가에 가장 큰 영향을 미친 요인은 바로 평가 행위 자체였다. 종업원 수 대비 리뷰 개수는 모든 항목에서 유의한 음(-)의 관계를 가지고 있었다. 이는 평가 행위 자체에 편견이 내포되어 있으며, 각 기업에 대해 부정적 의견으로 응답하려고 하는 사람들이 상대적으로 더 많이 평가에 참여했다는 의미를 가진다.
