The research on COVID-19 treatments and vaccines has been actively conducted under the government support, but domestic pharmaceutical companies recently tend to terminate the development plan and the production. In order to develop the drug through repositioning, it is required to understand the characteristics of the substance and patents. Since the source technology of the COVID-19 vaccine forms a complex intellectual property relationship through licensing, it is required to identify relevant vaccine technologies and property relationship. Therefore, the drug development strategies of COVID-19 were analyzed from the perspectives of drug repositioning, IP licensing, and application of artificial intelligence. The drug development status, problems, and future directions for domestic companies were also analyzed.
정부의 지원 하에 코로나19 치료제와 백신의 연구개발이 활발히 진행되어왔으나, 최근 국내 제약회사의 개발 및 생산 중단 사례가 증가하고 있다. 기존에 알려진 약물의 재창출을 통하여 치료제를 개발하기 위해서는, 개발단계부터 물질 및 특허에 대한 정보를 파악할 필요가 있다. 한편 코로나19 백신의 경우 원천기술이 라이센싱을 통하여 복잡한 권리관계를 형성하고 있기에, 관련 기술과 권리관계에 대한 정보를 파악할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 팬데믹에 대응하는 코로나19 의약품의 개발전략을 약물 재창출과 IP라이센싱 및 인공지능 활용 관점에서 파악하였다. 또한 국내 제약회사의 치료제와 백신 개발 및 생산 현황과 문제점을 비롯하여 발전방향에 대해서도 분석해보았다.
