In the laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) process, since the combination of process parameters causes defects or affects performance of products, studies have been conducted recently to find the optimal process parameters. However, while the optimal process parameters vary depending on the geometry of the product, most studies have optimized process parameters only at the cube or specimen scale. In this study, the method for optimizing process parameters applicable to part scale is proposed. In this method, in order to minimize the number of experiments for part scale products, the process area is narrowed in the order of cube, specimen, and part, and a data driven machine learning model is constructed using the latin hypercube sampling (LHS) and constrained sampling method. Applying proposed method to the stator of an axial flux motor made of Fe-4.5Si material, it shows that it is the optimization method applicable to part scale.
L-PBF 공정 내에서 공정 조건의 조합에 따라 출력물에 결함이 생기거나 성능에 영향이 미치기 때문에 최적의 공정 조건을 찾아주는 연구가 최근 많이 진행되었다. 하지만 최적의 공정 조건은 제품의 형상에 따라 달라지는 반면, 대부분의 연구는 큐브나 시편 단위의 성능으로만 최적화가 이루어 졌다. 본 연구는 제품 규모의 형상에 적용 가능한 공정 조건 최적화 방법을 제안한다. 해당 방법에서는 파트 제품의 실험 횟수를 최소화하기 위해 큐브, 시편, 파트 순으로 공정 조건의 영역을 좁히며 라틴 하이퍼 큐브 샘플링과 제약조건 샘플링 방법을 활용한 데이터 기반 머신러닝 모델을 구축한다. Fe-4.5Si 소재로 제작된 축자속 모터의 고정자에 이를 적용하면서 제품 규모에 적용 가능한 최적화 방법임을 보여준다.
