An Annular-Stepwise-Diverging-Tube (ASDT) has been used to measure length scale effects on premixed flame propagation velocity. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the length scale and the flame propagation at methane/hydrogen mixture flames. The experimented condition of the hydrogen ratio was below 90% and the data of the length scale and the propagation velocity of methane/hydrogen flames. Base on this data, the characteristics of the critical point were examined, and relationship among the hydrogen ratio, the flame propagation velocity, and the length scale was investigated at the stoichiometry condition. As a result, it was found that the flame propagation velocity and the length scale tend to be inversely proportional to each other, and that the hydrogen ratio and the length scale have a linear relationship to each other.
환형 다단 확장관 연소기는 예혼합 화염에서 길이 스케일이 전파속도에 미치는 영향을 측정하기 위해 사용되어왔다. 이번 연구에서는 환형 다단 확장관 연소기를 이용하여 메탄/수소 혼소 화염에서 길이 스케일에 따른 전파속도를 측정하였다. 실험 영역은 수소 혼소 비율 90%까지 진행되었으며 이번 연구를 통해 메탄/수소 혼소 예혼합 화염에서 조건에 따른 전파속도, 길이 스케일의 데이터를 얻어낼 수 있었다. 이러한 데이터들을 바탕으로 각 실험 조건에서의 임계점을 파악하였고, 당량비 1 기준에서 임계점의 수소 함량, 전파속도 그리고 길이 스케일 사이의 연관성을 확인하였다. 그 결과 전파속도와 길이 스케일은 서로 반비례하는 경향성을, 수소 함량과 임계점에서의 길이 스케일은 선형적인 관계를 가지는 것을 확인하였다.
