Under the microgrid environment, an eco-friendly power source is favored. Thus, renewable energy, including
solar was proposed as the power source. However, due to the intermittent nature of the renewable energy, a
baseload without greenhouse gas emission and re-fueling is required. Nuclear power, specifically small modular
reactor, is getting attention as the promising baseload power source for the renewable energy. H-MMR is a solar-nuclear hybrid system with reheat- recompression S-CO2 power cycle, which was previously studied with quasi-steady-state analysis. In this thesis, the transient analysis of H-MMR is performed with GAMMA+ code, which
was developed in KAERI. GAMMA+ code is validated with experiment data. Using GAMMA+ code, a load
following case of H-MMR system with optimized control strategies was simulated. From the study, it is shown
that a renewable-nuclear hybrid system alone can satisfy the electricity demand of the microgrid.
