Within industries, some firms outperform their competitors. These organizations have demonstrated unique
systems and processes employed in investment, production, and sales activities. These collective resources are
called Organization capital. It would help firms smooth their future cash flow and reduce future cash uncertainty,
so it could help to alleviate financial constraints in that it decreases a firm’s sensitivity to internal cash flow.
Therefore, under precautionary motive, I found that stable and better performance reduces the uncertainty of future
cash flows and mitigates incentives for holding cash in firms with a high level of Organization capital. The results
are identical after considering endogeneity problems.
산업 내부에서 다른 기업보다 우수한 성과를 내는 일부 기업은 조직 내부의 투자, 생산 및
세일즈 활동에 그들 만의 고유한 시스템을 구축해왔다는 것이 입증되었다. 이런 시스템을
종합적으로 조직 자본이라고 일컫는다. 조직 자본은 기업의 미래 현금 흐름을 원활히 하고 현금
흐름의 불확실성을 줄이는데 도움이 된다. 또한 내부 현금흐름에 대한 기업의 민감도를
감소시킨다는 점에서 재무적 제약을 완화하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다. 나는 높은 수준의 조직
자본을 가지고 있는 기업이 안정적인 현금흐름과 더 나은 성과를 만들고 미래 현금 흐름의
불확실성을 감소시킨다는 것을 발견했다. 따라서 해당 기업들은 내부에서 현금을 보유함으로써
얻는 가치가 줄어들게 된다. 내생성 문제를 고려하여도 결과는 동일하다.
