This study conducts an empirical study on the return reversals and return predictability in the Korean stock market. Numerous existing studies have shown that investors' opposite transaction behavior affects asset prices. Following the context of those studies, this study looked at how heterogeneous investors' tendency to trade in opposite directions during overnight and daytime affects asset prices. After measuring the return reversals by decomposing the daily stock returns into overnight returns and daytime returns, it was analyzed whether the indicator had meaningful information in predicting the returns. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the return reversals was significant in predicting the returns. Furthermore, through Fama-MacBeth regression analysis and portfolio analysis using firm characteristic variables, it was verified whether the return reversals has significant return predictability.
