For a quadrupedal robot to replace human work, it must be able to move dynamically and implement various motions. To perform various motions, the range of motion of the legs must be high, and to move dynamically, high speed-high torque is essential. Design elements that constitute a quadrupedal robot to achieve both objectives should be reasonably selected. In particular, the actuator configuration and the knee driven mechanism affect the range of the legs. This paper describes the design process of the quadrupedal robot’s legs to have a high range of motion. The design elements (leg length, heat-sink type of motor amplifier, gear ratio, battery voltage) for high speed operation are selected using optimization methods. In particular, since the gear ratio is represented by a combination of the number of teeth consisting of integers, the solution to the problem is obtained using a solver that can solve the mixed-integer nonlinear optimization problem.
사족로봇이 사람의 작업을 대체하려면 역동적으로 움직여야 하며 다양한 모션을 구현해야 한다. 다양한 모션을 수행하기 위해선 다리의 가동범위가 높아야 하며 역동적으로 움직이기 위해선 고속-고토크의 출력이 필수적이다. 두 가지 목표를 달성하기 위해 사족로봇을 구성하는 설계 요소들은 합리적으로 선정되어야 한다. 특히 구동부 배열과 무릎 관절 구동방법이 다리의 가동범위에 영향을 미친다. 본 논문은 높은 가동범위를 갖기 위한 사족로봇의 다리 설계 과정에 대해 서술한다. 고속 동작을 구현하기 위한 설계 요소(다리 길이, 모터 보드의 방열판, 기어비, 배터리 전압)는 최적화 방법을 이용하여 선정한다. 특히 기어비는 정수로 이루어진 잇수들의 조합으로 나타내어지기 때문에 정수 제약조건의 비선형 최적화 문제를 풀 수 있는 솔버를 이용한다.
