Audio amplifiers have been studied over the past century and shares a history with electronic circuits themselves. Further, since audio amplifier research is a long-standing field, it can be said that there are relatively few gaps in knowledge compared to other fields. However, as the mobile device revolution occurred in the last 10 years, new requirements for audio systems have arisen, and research on them is underway. In particular, two new directions are being proposed, and it is important to implement them with the existing high efficiency and high fidelity. The first is the low quiescent current, and the second is the support of the boosted output swing. Innovative solutions to these problems are presented in this thesis.
오디오 증폭기는 지난 1세기동안 연구된 분야로, 전자회로 자체와 역사를 같이하고 있다. 하지만, 연구가 오랜 분야인 만큼 다른 분야에 비하여 상대적으로 지식의 틈이 적다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 최근 10년간 모바일 기기 혁명이 일어나면서 오디오 시스템에 새롭게 필요한 요구 사항들이 생겨났고, 그에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히 2가지 새로운 방향성이 제시되고 있고, 이를 기존의 고효율, 고충실도와 함께 구현하는 것이 중요하다. 첫번째는 낮은 휴지기 전류이고, 두번째는 부스트 출력 전압의 지원이다. 이에 대한 혁신적인 해결방안을 본 학위논문에서 제시하고 있다.
