This thesis studies the influence of inflation on the inventory decision variables when increase of price are anticipated. Deterministic inventory models are developed and optimal inventory policies are derived which depend on the intervals between successive price increase and the increased amounts of price.
The developed results are illustrated through a case study from Korea oil refinery sector.
