A new current control technique of voltage-fed PWM inverter is presented for field oriented control of induction motors. The problems of the several existing technique are investigated and an integral variable structure control(IVSC) is proposed as an effective way of overcoming these problems. The proposed control technique provides a robust control performance against the deviations of the motor parameters such as the resistance, inductance, and counter emf. The proposed control scheme is designed in the stationary reference frame and is applied to the direct field oriented control system of the induction motor associated with the voltage-fed PWM inverter. All of the proposed control algorithm including IVSC and full state flux observer is implemented using the software of DSP TMS320C30. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is well demonstrated through the comparative simulations and experiments.
